“Green + Smart Mine Site Observation Meeting in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner” was successfully held at Yulong Mining

On September 9th, the on-site observation meeting on "Green + Smart Mine" in Xiwuzhumuqin Banner was held at Yulong Mining Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Yulong Mining"), Inner Mongolia, to implement the spirit of relevant meetings regarding green and smart mine construction at the national, autonomous region, and all-banner levels, and to learn from and draw on the experience and practices of green and smart mine construction.
The meeting was chaired by Yao Honggang, Deputy Secretary of the Xiwuzhumuqin Banner Committee and Banner Chief. Wu Zhiqiang, Deputy Banner Chief, and Jin Yubao, Director of the Bayan Hua Economic Development Zone, attended the meeting. Also present were the heads of relevant departments directly under the banner and representatives from 21 mining companies, including their key personnel and business staff.
The observation meeting was conducted through a combination of on-site observation and summary meetings.
The observation team went deep into the grinding workshop of the technical transformation and selection plant of Yulong Mining, the central control room, the flotation workshop, and the tailings pond, to observe on-site the progress of the construction related to the green and smart mining of the enterprise.
On site visits
After the on-site observation concluded, a summary meeting was held in the multimedia conference room of Yulong Mining.
The 21 mining companies each reported on their respective implementation of the 2022 mining geological environmental governance plan, progress in rectifying issues identified in the "look-back" on green mining construction, progress in green and smart mining construction, and plans for future work.
The Qi Natural Resources Bureau and the Qi Industry and Information Technology Bureau have respectively reported and deployed the construction status, existing problems, and next steps of green and smart mines in the entire Qi.
Vice Governor Wu Zhiqiang pointed out that mining enterprises should maintain a positive attitude, actively carry out governance work, and complete annual governance tasks with quality, quantity, and on time; At the same time, various functional departments of the government should fulfill their respective responsibilities, increase supervision on the construction of green mines and the governance of mining geological environment, and establish a constraint mechanism.
Yao Honggang, Deputy Secretary of the Flag Committee and Flag Leader, gave a concluding speech, emphasizing that firstly, all mining enterprises should recognize the situation, improve their understanding, strictly implement, set a time limit, and implement the last elimination system.
Building a solid ecological barrier in the northern borderlands of our country is a prerequisite for achieving a win-win situation between ecological protection and the development of important energy and strategic resources. This will lay the foundation for constructing a national ecological shield while simultaneously advancing resource development.
Secondly, all mining enterprises must have a clear understanding that comprehensive geological and environmental governance of mining areas and the promotion of green mining are essential requirements for deeply implementing Xi Jinping's ecological civilization ideology and promoting high-quality economic development. Implementing intelligent construction and creating smart mines are measures to enhance the intrinsic safety level of mines, ensuring the safety of people's lives, health, and property.
Thirdly, all mining enterprises should further advance the construction of smart mines to higher standards, especially in non-ferrous metal mines.
Summary meeting
Next, the company will take this on-site meeting as a starting point to continue to deepen the construction of green and smart mines, striving to build Yulong Mining into a green and smart mine that is efficient, environmentally beautiful, and harmonious.
